The IDK® TNF-alpha ELISA is an enzyme immunoassay intended for the quantitative determination of Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNFα) in plasma, serum, stool, and cell culture supernatant.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
For Laboratory Professional Use Only.
Manufactured by Immundiagnostik AG.
This test is designed for the quantitative determination of TNFα.
In the first incubation step, TNFα is bound to monoclonal antibodies, which are immobilized on the surface of the microtiter plate. A biotinylated antibody is added after a washing step to remove all interfering substances. After another washing step, a horseradish peroxidase-labeled conjugate is added. The amount of the converted substrate by the peroxidase is directly proportional to the amount of bound TNFα and can be determined photometrically at 450 nm.
Using the values obtained from the standard, a dose-response curve of the absorbance unit (optical density, OD at 450 nm) vs. concentration is generated. TNFα, present in the samples, is determined directly from this curve.
