The Osteonectin ELISA is an enzyme immunoassay intended for the quantitative determination of osteonectin in serum.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
For Laboratory Professional Use Only.
The Osteonectin ELISA was developed by Immundiagnostik AG.
The Osteonectin ELISA is designed for the quantitative determination of osteonectin.
The test principle is based on a competition between the antigen in the sample or standards and the antigen coated on the wells of the microplate. Standards or samples are transferred directly into the precoated microtiter plate with the primary antibody against osteonectin. The antigen in the samples competes with the antigen immobilized on the microtiter plate for the free binding site of the specific antibodies against
osteonectin. A peroxidase-conjugated antibody is used for detection and quantification, and tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) is used as a peroxidase substrate. An acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction.
A dose-response curve of absorbance unit (optical density, OD at 450 nm) vs. concentration is generated using the values obtained from the standard. The color change is inversely proportional to the amount of analyte (sample or control). The presence of osteonectin in the samples is determined directly from this curve.
